If you are having problems at work, talk to us.
Having a job is an essential part of most people's lives. When you are in work, you can be faced with many difficult issues, so it is essential to know what your rights and options are. The National Citizens Advice website talks through the rights you have and how you can go about enforcing them. If you have looked at the above webpages and you still need our help, please get in touch and one of our trained advisers will help you to find a way forward.
When you contact us, it helps to have with you your contract of employment, employee handbook and policies and any correspondence between you and your employer. We won't tell you what to do, but we'll work with you to figure out what you could do and help you to weigh up the advantages and disadvantages so that you can make an informed decision.
Our employment advice is accredited and quality assessed. Our team of trained advisers have access to a catalogue of information resources and are supported by supervisors with experience in advice. For the more complex enquiries, we also have access to a national consultancy team of experienced employment law advisers and an employment law solicitor, with our partners at Greater Manchester Law Centre.
If an issue at work is worrying you, the first thing to do is to call our Adviceline on 0808 278 7882 or to email us at enquiries@northlancashirecab.org.uk and describe the problem. If appropriate, we can then refer you into our employment team.
