A huge thank you to our volunteers

Our volunteers are amazing. They are on hand to listen to clients and to help them in practical ways so that they can solve the problems that they are facing.

Below is a lovely message we received in response to advice given by our volunteer Carole so we thought that we would share it! A massive thank you to Carole for all the work she does for our service - our clients really appreciate the support.

Hi, Carole, I cannot thank you enough for your invaluable help with completing my UC50 form, which arrived in the post today. You really took so much worry and stress from me, and I thank you for your compassion, patience and understanding during both calls, particularly on Monday, when I had to take the two calls from the DWP, as I know your time is limited and precious. You are so easy to talk to, which helps enormously.

Thank you also for going that extra mile and informing me of other help I may be entitled to. It is so reassuring to have people like yourself to offer support when needed, during difficult times, and I am extremely grateful for it, especially as you are freely giving up your own time, working from home, on a voluntary basis. I had just become so overwhelmed with everything and in a state of sheer panic, as I was also completing the PIP change of circumstances form at the same time. I had such a sense of relief following your input, support and advice.
